Dr. Arun Kumar Sharma

Dr Arun Kumar Sharma is having distinction of being First Hepatologist from J&K state. He has worked as a Senior Resident (Registrar) in Department of Hepatology, PGIMER Chandigarh for almost six years and finished his DM in Hepatology from the same Institute. He has more than 15 years of experience in handling complex Gastrointestinal and Liver diseases. He has worked in different corporates like Fortis Hospital Mohali, Prime Liver Hospital Jalandhar, Apollo Hospital Ludhiana, Capitol Hospital Jalandhar and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Hospital. During his career, he has gained vast experience in managing complex Gl and Liver Diseases. He is having vast experience in doing Diagnostic and Therapeutic Gl procedures like EVL, EST, Glue injection, ERCP, EUS, Polypectomy, foreign body removal and stent placement. He has many papers in reputed National and International journals like Liver International, American J of Gastroenterology, Journal of Hepatology and Journal of Pancreas He was shortlisted as a finalist for the HEPATOLOGY 360 awards by the International steering committee and got runner up award in oral presentation on 11th-13th May 2012 in Vienna, Austria.
